Earlier this week, CIRMMT members, Takuto Fukuda and Ana Dall'Ara-Majek, reported that they have been awarded prizes in two major competitions:
- (1) "Super Colliders for three pitched instruments and gamified screen-score" by Takuto Fukuda got the second place at ISMIR music track.
- (2) "Pythagorean Domino" by blablaTrains (gestural controller duo by Ana Dall'Ara-Majek and Takuto Fukuda) won the second prize at the International Electronic Music Competition 2020
Takuto noted that his participation in ISMIR was supported by the CIRMMT Online Conference Award. He also pointed out that him and Ana are very appreciative of CIRMMT's general support for the gestural controller performance practice research, which included access to the labs and equipment for production. They both hope to continue collaborating with CIRMMT through any future relevant research-creation project.
