Description
This workshop will discuss various approaches to the measurement of performer movements in music, as well as ways to analyze the movements captured. Researchers will present their work on this topic, followed by open discussion.

- Steven Livingstone and Caroline Palmer: Temporal coordination of facial expressions in vocal performance
- Vincent Freour and Isabelle Cossette: Simultaneous acquisition of breathing, facial expressions and gestures of singers
- Eric Vatikiotis-Bateson: Are there "events" in signals?
- Jane Davidson: Cue or symbol and synchronisation: Knowing what and how to measure the musician's movement
- 10:40-11:00 - Coffee break
- 11:00-13:00 - Discussion of the talks, related issues and possible collaborations.
