Workshop on high pressure impact on the cardiopulmonary system

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology (CIRMMT) is pleased to announce an upcoming research meeting on High pressure impact on the cardiopulmonary system. This workshop is organized by CIRMMT Research Axis 2 (Musical gestures, devices and motion capture).  It will take place on May 19, 2011, from 3:00-5:00pm in A512 (Marvin Duchow Library, New Music Building).

Description

This research meeting will include presentations and discussion on a variety of topics related to High pressure impact on the cardiopulmonary system: High pressure instruments requirements, Flow limitation in COPD patients, Optoelectronic plethysmographic system (OEP).

Prof. Andrea Aliverti (Politecnico di Milano, University of Milano)  and students from the McGill community will briefly present recent research data.  An open discussion will follow.
