On June 5th, 2020 the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences announced Robert Zatorre as one of the five leading researchers world-wide to receive the C. L. de Carvalho-Heineken award for his contribution to the discipline of music cognition. Zatorre is Professor of Neuroscience at McGill University, researcher at The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital), Canada Research Chair, co-founder of the Brain, Music and Sound Research (BRAMS), and a CIRMMT member since 2002.
