Alexandre Lehmann: Brain, body, beats, and bionics

alexandrelehmann

ABSTRACT

In this membership seminar, I will briefly introduce how my interdisciplinary background has led me to develop both a fundamental and an applied research axis on auditory neurocognition in general and music in particular. I will first describe a research axis on music, with a focus on rhythm cognition and will then present multi-media research, evaluating the synchronization of auditory, visual and motor signals in both the general public and a clinical population. I will then briefly introduce the technology featured in my research and finish by zooming in on future interdisciplinary research in music media and technology.
