After almost three months of individual work under the tutelage of composer/T-Stick instrumentalist D. Andrew Stewart (University of Lethbridge), and T-Stick designer and developer Joseph Malloch (Dalhousie University), the following composers/sound artists, selected to participate in the 2019 T-Stick Music Creation Project, will be showcasing their newly created works for the sopranino T-Stick—a gestural musical controller designed to sense the interactions with the performer such as touching, tapping, twisting, tilting, squeezing, shaking, etc.:

Biographies
Erich BARGANIER
Erich Barganier (b. 1991) is a composer and multi-instrumentalist hailing from St. Petersburg, Florida, who currently resides in Montreal. He writes chamber, orchestral, film, solo instrumental and electronic music that explores microtonality, extended techniques, improvisation, generative processes, the perception of noise and new forms of notation. In addition to composing music, Erich is an active improviser and musician. He enjoys cooking, horror movies, and playing with dogs.
Diego BERMUDez Chamberland & Yanik Tremblay-Simard
Macroplasm est le projet pluridisciplinaire Dark Ambient de Diego Bermudez-Chamberland (Compositeur et Sound Designer) et Yanik Tremblay-Simard (Compositeur, Sol Miraculé). Basé en grande partie sur l’improvisation et l’exploration du dialogue entre les musiciens, l’écoute est au coeur de leur démarche. Ils proposent une atmosphère immersive qui relève d’un monde fantaisiste, organique, le Macroplasme. Diego Bermudez Chamberland a débuté son parcours musical en jouant de la batterie pour ensuite plonger dans la musique électronique dès son adolescence. Sa pratique musicale est inspirée de ses expériences vécues autant sur le plan humain que dans la musique. Il est influencé par tous les genres musicaux qu’il a écoutés, les gens avec lesquels il a collaboré et par ses voyages à travers le monde. Diego a entamé une maîtrise en composition électroacoustique au Conservatoire de musique de Montréal en septembre 2019.
Vincent Cusson
Vincent Cusson is a composer and media artist based in Montréal. His projects investigate generative, immersive and interactive audio in various cross-disciplinary art installations. He has been an assistant researcher for three years at nxi gestatio lab . He has completed a Bachelor’s in Interactive Media at Université du Québec à Montréal and is currently doing a Master’s degree in Music Technology at McGill university.
Kasey Pocius
Originally from St. John’s (Newfoundland), Kasey Pocius is a gender fluid multidisciplinary artist located in Montreal (Quebec) who grew up experimenting with audio & video editing software while also pursuing classical training in both viola and piano. In late 2014, Kasey began to concentrate more intensively on the creation of digital audio works. Their work explores both digitally synthesized elements and the transformation of field recordings to explore political and abstract concepts. Outside of fixed electronic works, they have also pursued mixed media performances with live electronics, both as a soloist and in collaborative comprovisatory environments such as CLOrk & Fillesharmoniques.
Michal Seta
Michal is a sound artist, improviser and coder (in any order) flirting with a various media. He co-founded an electroacoustic improv band No One Receiving band, as well as UniSecs, a duet of spoken word and electroacoustic music. As a coder, he fuelled works by other artists and currently works as researcher/developer at SAT's Metalab. He has ventured into interactive art installations with [IR]rationnel, commissioned by the Montreal Science Center and award-winning Re-Collect, shown in North America, Europe and the the Middle-East. His short film [*]nScape was selected for the first Drone Cinema Film Festival and was followed by several music releases in fairly rapid succession, mainly on Silent Records label.
