The restructuring of CIRMMT's axes is now complete: CIRMMT's research program is organized into four axes.

Feedback is a work for guitar and electronics, at the convergence of free jazz, glitch electroacoustics, and drone metal. It is the fruit of my graduate studies, and the culmination of a long personal project which led me to engage in advanced studies and research in music 10 years ago.
CIRMMT member Luis Rodrigues featured on Concorida website with 'Spiri - A robot in sync with music'
Luis Rodrigues, associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Compute Engineering at Concordia, and his students have collaborated with Canadian tech company Pleiades to work on a project involving a flying robot, Spiri, who responds to music and other forms of command.
CIRMMT member Robert Normandeau awarded First Prize (mixed music) in the Musica Nova 2013 International Competition of Electroacoustic Music
Normandeau's work, "Baobabs," was awarded First Prize (mixed music) in the Musica Nova 2013 International Competition of Electroacoustic Music (Prague, Czech Republic). A mixed work for 4 voices, 6 percussion, and tape, Baobabs was commissioned by percussion ensemble Sixtrum and premiered during the live@CIRMMT concerts on May 15 and 16, 2013, in the MultiMedia Room of the Schulich School of Music.
